Why are preorders prior to preorder events not recognized?

Hi! It happend a few times that I did not get my 15.000 Reward points or other rewards cause I preordered a game too early. It makes no sense to contact support and cancel a preorder just to preorder again so it counts for a reward, right? Why is this still
happening? My Halo Wars 2 preorder from December did not count in February where I preordered 2 other games. Now I missed 15.000 points again but I bought it in the Xbox store. Can someone explain why preorders prior to such preorder events don't count? It
makes no sense to cancel it and preorder again??

Missing rewards points for preorders

Hello.

I made a post previously, but it appears to have not gone through.

I am missing 15 000 rewards points and a $10 Microsoft Store code set to come with my preorder of Watch_Dogs2.

It is well past the scheduled arrival dates of said rewards.

Three offers were affected by this particular preorder - Annual preorders, Watch_Dogs2 Preorder event, and the code through email for MicrosoftStore. I only received the WD2 Preorder Event 15 000 credits, the annual 15 000 per preorder and MSS code never arrived.

Pre-Order credit

Did you preorder digitally or as a physical disc from microsoftstore.com? For the 15,000 credits, you would have had to preorder as a physical disc.

Preorders are not eligible for VIP.

 

It's simply just per the terms and conditions. Purchases do not count towards offers unless they are made during the offer period. That goes for any purchases, not just preorders.

We can only award purchases made during the offer period. Purchases made before or after an offer is available are not eligible for that offer.
