Why are one controllers so fragile?

This is kinda messed up. since i got an xbox one last year ive had to buy three different controllers cuz these controllers are made terribly.and why is there barely any warranty on it? 90 days?

. ive needed to buy 3 controllers on the One that ive had for only a year but on the 360 i used the same controllers for about 5 years..... is it a way to get more money? even an elite controller will break really fast. do you have an answer? or will
you just let people buy your crappy accessories cuz they need it to play? even in your packages though it says a one year warranty. but when ive called youll only do 90 days.... thats messed up. dont sell a product you gotta lie about. these controllers are
very flimsy and terrible and fall apart. minus well go to Sony. least PS controllers last for years

Why are Xbox One controllers so poorly built?

Got to admit i don't think the xbox one controllers are anywhere near as robust (in my experience) as xbox 360 controllers for accidental damage e.g. dropping on floor.

My first xbox one s controller broke after 92 days (2 days out of warranty conveniently) for no apparent reason as it had ever been dropped or damaged, luckily there are place online that you can buy replacement boards for the controllers to fit yourself.

My new controller is okay now after 12 months but its nice new play and charge kit fails to work after less than 3 months of use (cable issue) luckily any micro usb charges it.

what i would say is the thumbstick sensors in the xbox one controllers last far far longer than any other previous controller i have used, after 12 months the sticks are still solid and no ghosting where as my xbox 360 controller would have these sensors
replaced every few months.

I have a Day One controller, Elite, Sea of Thieves and Project Scorpio all controllers work with the charger packs and with the cables It all depends how you treat your hardware...

Because Microsoft is a terrible company that continues to dump on its fans. The day one controllers were made with very cheap faulty thumbsticks that would break easily. Later controllers had a slightly better, but still fragile thumbstick. I have broken
my 6th controller now and it's usually the "click" part of one of the thimbsticks. No I don't throw my controllers around. I am really unhappy with Microsoft in general and these cheap controllers are terrible. It's almost like no stress testing was done in
development. The 90 day warranty is laughable. That barely covers any retail store return policy.

 

The durability of a controller depends also from how "heavy" is your hand...i have never have a problem and i have 6 controllers, the only controller that have a stick broken it's the day one 2013 but i've used everyday for years...
