    Why are next-gen console games crashing?


    Recently a couple of my Xbox One games have crashed (closed completely and sent me back to the Home screen). I looked online and apparently the PS4 does this too. I've never seen console games close automatically like this, usually they'll
    just freeze.

    Are Sony and Microsoft turning these consoles into smartphones? Why are next-gen console games crashing? ;)

    do I really have to explain why next gen will be different than this gen again? next gen console are basically PCs, a developer can make a pc game with good graphics and reletively easily port it to console. this gen you couldn't really do that. since all
    the games you listed ( except killzone) are coming to PC, the next gen versions of the games will look as good or almost as good as on pc.

    Diablo 3 runs at 900P on Xbox One

    The thing about next gen resolutions is they are better than last gen resolutions and thats all that should matter. I never once saw an article about resolution last gen so why is it so important now? Besides if these next gen consoles are 4K capable, we
    should start crying about games not being 4K.

    Why are next-gen console games crashing?

    Because their OS's were built in a rush(hence programming bugs), both were rushed to market after the wiiu came out.

    I haven't had that many crashes lately. In fact its been a number of weeks so I am guessing the problem causing it (or most of them) were fixed maybe? Sorry to hear your having issues though mate. If it keeps up my advice would be to head over to the support
    forums and seek out some help. That's the best place to be when in need of assistance Why are next-gen console games crashing? :)

    It's better the game crashes and you just have to start it back it up, than your whole console and having to reboot.

    I've had it happen a couple times, but it's been awhile. All I did was power down the console, reboot, and that seemed to fix the issue.

    Neighbour has not had any complainants although due to our ultra slow broadband he can use 75 percent of the consoles features.

    It's better the game crashes and you just have to start it back it up, than your whole console and having to reboot.
