    why are my message notifications not working?


    For over a week now, my notifications when someone messages me doesnt work. I have tried everything, resetting, reinstalling my profile, turn setting off then on, etc. Nothing works. All the other notifications work fine.

    Hey DB800

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with receiving notifications of messages on your console.

    You mentioned that you have already configured some settings, but were these your
    Xbox notifications in the
    Notifications     section of Preferences? There is a way to configure your Messages settings from this area.

    Alternatively, you can also attempt a soft
    Factory reset     on your console by selecting the option that reads Reset and keep my games & apps in order to save you some time so that you can get back to gaming much more quickly. Keep in mind that this will remove all accounts and Home
    Xbox configurations on your console, so you will need to make sure you have the email and passwords of the accounts you wish to recover.

    Upon adding your account onto your console, you will be prompted that you can apply the settings you had on your previous console to this console. At this instance you can select "No" and you should have everything set to defaults, and this should allow
    you to once again be notified of your messages.

    Give this a try and let us know if this works for you!

    For some reason ever since the update came out I can't get any message notifications. I have to constantly go back to the dashboard and go to my messages to see if I have gotten anything. And when I do go to messages it takes a long time for them
    load and for my messages to send. I did an hard reset and I even changed around some settings then changed then back to the way they was, restarted the console, signed in and out of my account, but nothing works. I am slighty getting annoyed because I been
    missing out on some stuff. Everything else is working fine but not the messages. Any suggestions?
