Why are my downloaded games on sons xbox as well??

Hello,

I have a family account of which I am the adult both me and my son has an xbox one.

Just recently all of downloaded game library has appeared on my son's xbox which has me concerned.

If my son was to download any of the games from my library would those games then become his games?

Or would the entire library become lost to me?

Or is it now ok for him to use these games has something changed?

I don't want to lose the accumulated games it has taken a while to get them.

Your sons console is set as the Home console

Hi Garvy2009,

Thanks for posting in the forums today! Don't worry it seems like your account is set up as the Home Xbox on your son's Xbox One. This means you're sharing your game library with your son so this wouldn't cause you to lose any of your games on your account.
The console designated as your home Xbox is where you can share games and some content with others who sign in (with their own account) to that console with you. Never share your password or account sign in info.

This is totally safe! It is called gamesharing and it can happen when you use a family account, download digital games onto an external hard-drive and then connect that drive to another Xbox, and/or when you designate another Xbox as home (or vice versa).
Neither of you will lose access to the games and I believe you can both play the games at the same time if I remember correctly.
