    Why are my backward compatibility games all of a sudden not working on my xbox one?


    I cannot get my backward compatibility xbox 360 games to play anymore on my xbox one..They were working about 1-2 months ago, but now they will not read the discs. I reset my xbox.cleared cache, and did everything I could..but still not reading them..Please
    help!!

    Sounds like the reader is dirty or inoperable. However does a blu ray work or a dvd. Maybe go into the setting and make sure you have the blu ray payer set correctly. I might of reset or something, You can try to do a power cycle. Try all these things before

    Hi,

    Can please try a DVD movie disc (not a Blu-ray disc) and see if that works?

    DVD movie discs are the same type discs Xbox 360 games use. If they don't work either then there is a fault with your console's optical drive.

    I bought a 360 game only to find out I can't play it on my Xbox ONE. The at the store lied to me.

    Not all games are backwards compatible. If the game is not listed here it won't work. Backwards compatible games are being added all the time, but backwards
    compatibility is up to the publisher. So not all games will be made compatible.

    All backwards compatible games work on all xbox one's I have many BC games on my one x that all work fine including gears 2 and 3.
