    Why am I unable to use Xbox Live???


    I just purchased a Xbox one and created an account while also purchasing a Xbox Live Gold account today however when I try to play multiplayer it brings up a notice saying "the current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox LIVE". Why is this?

    Hello! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community, not a Microsoft employee. Hope you are doing well!

    With regards to this error message you are getting, is it showing to all multiplayer games you are trying to play or only a specific game?

    If it is somehow happening to all games, it could be on how your account was setup. I suggest to try checking your privacy settings via https://account.xbox.com/en-gb/Settings/Home by going to "Privacy & online safety" tab. Once you click it, make sure to check the Xbox 360 and the Xbox one tab settings and see if multiplayer was allowed.

    Once oyu are done changing the settings, make sure you restart your device and see if there will still be an error.

    Sorry I forgot to add the time. Everything should be unplugged for no less than 5 minutes. Then start by plugging in your modem first if you have one,wait till its fully online then plug in your router. Once all the light are on then plug in your 360 and
    test your connection before signing in.Again if this doesn't work I will do my best to find another solution for you.

    I'm here to help. There are currently no problems with the status of Xbox live. If you can connect to your One but not the 360 I would suggest a full power cycle unplug everything including your router and modem if you have one. I have to do this when switching
    between my PS 3,computer,and my Xbox 360. If that doesn't help please let me know and I will try to offer a better suggestion.

    I'm having the same problem. It works fine on my Xbox one but not my 360. Can't log in, can't connect to wifi, and it keeps saying it's my wifi, but it's connected and fine. They need to fix this
