    Something very irritating happened today. I tried to change my profile picture to something somewhat inappropriate, and in return, it was not verified and never uploaded. What is abnormal is that I proceeded to receive an INDEFINITE SUSPENSION from EVER accessing my account again. I have had this account for ten years and spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on it. I looked it up, and the only reason these serious suspensions are put in place is if offenses extremely excessive, or xbox software is tampered with and unauthorized programs are being used. The picture I uploaded was not NEARLY as serious as this, and it didn’t include anything like nudity or gore. The only previous offense I have is a communication ban from cursing. I have friends who have done much worse, such as message racial slurs, and only received a 4 day communication ban. I am indefinitely locked out of my account over basically nothing. I have submitted an appeal, and am waiting for a response. I would like any insight into why this happened and what I’m supposed to do if the appeal is denied (which i’m hoping it won’t be). Thank you.

    One of the individuals in that picture will lead to a permanent ban if used in your gamerpic & is strictly against the ToU/CoC.

    As the decision of your appeal was upheld there's nothing else you can do.

    The only specific detail that was given was that it was because of the gamerpic. No further information was given. It seems like there was a mistake made on microsoft’s end. They have not denied the appeal, it is under review. This enforcement action is completely out of place. The picture had no nudity, gore, or offensive language.

    I did exactly what you said and they responded saying that the enforcement was “warranted.” I can’t even check the status of it anymore because I am banned. This is insane. It’s my second offense ever and was very mild and I am permanently banned. Somehow, I still exist on xbox though as my friend looked me up. Could the ban only be temporary? This is crazy. There has to be another way to contact them.

    Since you are confident that you have not violated the Xbox code of conduct, I would highly suggest you wait for the results from the case review.

    I would also recommend that when you submit an appeal don’t abuse or threaten Microsoft employees or post profane, bigoted, or otherwise provocative content. Case review inquiries are subject to the guidelines that are outlined within the Community Standards for Xbox. Disregard for these rules may result in the closure of your case review. Especially egregious violations may result in additional Xbox enforcement action.

    I'm afraid I will not be able to provide further assistance regarding your enforcement actions. Let's hope for the best that the results from your appeal will be approved!
