But I read that the upgrade from xbox live gold was a conversion. And that there was no need to pay 12.99 euros per month. If I want to upgrade, do I have to pay the GPU full price ?

So basically it's pointless getting core as you have to pay for core which is say £4 a month plus the £12.99 for ultimate a month...when you could just get ultimate for £12.99...

I don't mind d paying £12.99 as a conversion cost once but each month? Surely that can't be right.

RE4 is half price for PS+ subbers but sony put the game full price up for £11.99 instead of £15.99 which the latter is more expensiove than XB but you need to sub to PSN to get RE4 half price.
