Why am I only reciveing party invites on the phone app and not through my system.

Most likely it's your xbox settings, or a temporary issue.

Clear your cache: Clearing your Xbox cache can sometimes fix issues with party invites not coming through. To do this, hold down the power button on your Xbox for 10 seconds until it turns off, unplug the power cord from the back of the console, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn the console back on.

Check your Xbox Live settings: Make sure that your Xbox Live settings allow party invites to come through. To do this, go to your Xbox settings and select "Privacy & online safety" > "Xbox Live privacy" > "View details and customize" > "Communications" and make sure that "You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text" is set to "Everyone" or "Friends."

The party system is done through the Xbox Party app. You can go to the Party app from "My Games and Apps" or just say "Xbox Snap Party" and to start one up and invite people. Boot up Ghosts with your party and they'll join games with you, I believe.

Yes I have, the account hasn’t been signed into that XBox for a couple months now, and I am also reciving the invite notifications thru the xbox app

I updated and notifs are enabled, still no party invited through companion app, I only get them through game bar

It seems they have went a step back with the party/friend system. I can't invite my friends to a game through the friends list or party and they can't join sessions. This is why I got away from sony because it was a pain.
