Why am i not able to play Black Ops 1 with my friend online

Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

Not long after posting this question I am now unable to go online and play Black ops or to see my friends gaming avatars.

My loading screen for for multiplayer on black ops locks up or just spins without loading.

I am able to play other games in multiplayer though.

ok now i can play olmost all online games but black ops 2 still disconects my friend can play black ops 2 with his profiel in my house strange

I am pretty sure there is still online servers for Black Ops 1.

I'm using the xbox 360 E. I'm really starting to get tired of this, I just tried to play some black ops 2, was able to play for like 2-3 minutes then xbox live signs out, followed by being kicked out of the match. I can play minecraft online with two of
my friends all day long, so I'm starting to think its something between live and black ops 2. cod ghosts will do it to but black ops 2 seems to be the worse.
