Why am i not able to install games?

I did all the steps other than disabling my startups and it still doesnt work.

But is it necessary to do that disable thing?

Yes. It's best to follow what's on the guide. If it's still doesn't work, let's try to manually reset your Windows Update Components since the error relates to it.

1. Click the Start bar in the bottom left corner and search for “cmd“. Then, right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

2. In the elevated Command Prompt, we’re going to stop the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and Windows Update services one by one. TO do this, type (or paste) the commands below into Command prompt and press Enter after each one:
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver

3. With the services disabled, let’s rename the Catroo2 and SoftwareDistribution folders. The quickest way to do it is also via the Command Prompt. Paste the following commands into your elevated Command Prompt window and press Enter after each one:
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

4. Now, it’s time to restart the services that we previously disabled. Type the following commands in Command Prompt and press Enter after each one:
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver

5. That’s it. Close Command Prompt, restart your machine.

I just did it but it still isnt working :/

I appreciate your effort. It looks like the error is about corrupted file or process in the System.

I also suggest to disable temporarily your 3rd party anti-virus software if there's any and also disable your Firewall if possible.

I am on windows 11

The Error code is 0x8007490

I already have followed all those step throughs and it still isnt working
