Why am I getting this error

When i was playing roblox and went on the game roblox titanic i was loading in to the game it just took me back to the home screen i loading back in roblox and said this error code 0x8000404

 

so no one replies on these forums, shame

Hello all,

I got the same problem now. Been using it often during the last months to record gaming downloaded and running on my PC. Since yesterday I got the msg "There is nothing to record. Play some more and try again". Xbox app version is 11.12.9011.00000.

The first thing I will recommend is running the Windows App troubleshooter, as this will scan the apps on Windows and check to see if they are working as they should. The troubleshooter will also try to fix any problems with the app for you. To run the troubleshooter,
please follow these steps below:

1. Press the Windows Key and X key together (This will bring a pop up menu above the start option)
   
2. Select Control Panel
3. Select Views, and Large Icons
4. Select Troubleshooting
5. Select Hardware and sound
6. Select Windows Store Apps
7. Then follow the on screen instructions to Troubleshoot the Windows store apps.

Thank you for your reply! I just did run the troubleshooter the way you told me and it popped up with the notice "Problem not identified during troubleshooting" (my own translation into English ). Then I used the Xbox app again for recording and it worked.

I have the same problem aswell, the app can stream what I'm playing on the Xbox One but once I click on the screenrecord button it says: there is nothing to record, play some more and try again.

 

Hi Abby, We have observed this issue being reported before but it seems to be a random occurrence. If your able to reproduce this issue and your running Xbox App (Beta) can you immediately report this issue using the "Report a problem" with the beta version?
This will gather helpful data and report it to the developers to investigate. I will go ahead and call this out in todays reports to our developers that this issue is being observed. If the developers have further questions I will reach out.

The fix to the problem is that that certain game may not allow to be recorded or screenshotted at that time.

Simple mistake.
