    Why am I getting 6 digit code via email and phone, when I require a 7 digit code?


    Literally just the question.

    I forgot the password to my account. I was already logged into it. I got to security to change the password, but it requires the password, that I don't remember. I click email me the code to reset my password. I get the email. it's a 6 digit code. I input that code, and it denies it.
    "Please enter the 7-digit code. The code only contains numbers."

    I try to get the code sent via my mobile phone. I receive the text. Input that 6 digit code, and again, it gives me the same ****:
    "Please enter the 7-digit code. The code only contains numbers."

    So I ask, why the ****, am I getting sent 6 digit codes, when I need 7 digits? What **** set this sort of **** up.

    I've since figured out my password by spamming all the passwords I could remember. However I still can't change it because the verification process still want a code. That only gives me 6 digits, instead of 7.

    Those are for the 25 digit xbox live codes from cards. The taco bell codes are 6 or 7 digit. Not enough.

    I apologize for all the hassle I understand it can be very frustrating to get a constant error message when trying to get something done. I do want to get this going for you and make sure it gets resolved. Now, with the picture you've provided I see that
    you're getting an error message when trying to put in the code. Now, usually the verification codes you receive to your security information is 7 digits long. Have you checked to see if you have received a 7 digit code in your email instead of a 4 digit code?

    Get back to use with this information so we can further assist.
