why always games in French?

Hi,

I wonder why every time I buy and download a xbox 360 game on my xbox one the game is Always in French?

I live in Belgium: population 11million. Dutch speaking majority= 6.5 million.

Why the arrogance of presuming that everyone in Belgium is a French native speaker.

I would like to have my games in English not in French.

How to solve this?

Why always me?

I am not even mad. This game is one big “sigh” for me. I thought it was going to be somewhat enjoyable, but I was wrong. I feel more disappointed rather than mad.

Luckily its just a video game. Dying for connection based reasons are rage inducing, but after all, you get to spawn back in and try again, eh? No biggy.

my region settings and language are set up correctly

its microsoft who assume that Ï French speaking because I live in Belgium

its the same when I go to Belgian microsoft site,

it always starts up in French and I have to manually set it to Dutch

by the way many sites in Belgium automatically start up in French and I wonder why since over 60% of the population are Dutch speaking

i know dutch isnt always available but then why french????? my xbox is setup to be in english and the game for sure is available in english

Ok thank you, that actually solved my problem!

The game apparently defaults to French when the language is set to English (and only French and German are available languages for the game).

My region was set to Germany for some time but my console was always set to English. And the game always defaulted to French. So the game doesn't care about my region settings and only checks the language settings. When changing the console/system language to German the game is also German (English is not an option and when set as the system language changes the games language to French).

Explanation:

The game apparently defaults to French when the language is set to English (and only French and German are available languages for the game).
