Who's Evolving Tuesday?

I don't know guys. The more I play this game, the more my hate for it is becoming ingrained. I don't think enough people are playing it. People come and go, and you end up with dumber than a box of rocks bots, on multiplayer. Still having server/host lost
error message, and the game crashing to the dash board. Too many people playing lone wolves. Hate when people pick bucket. That's one less person with you tracking the monster; and if there's a bot hunter, he will likely stay back with bucket while he does
his UAV thing. So now you only have two hunters actively tracking the monster. Trackers no knowing how to use their tracking abilities.

The bottom line. This game is sooo team intensive, that one lone wolf or person not know how to use their character will automatically destroy the match. With randoms, that's seems to be about a 70%-75% chance of that happening.

This, coming from a all-time globally ranked #54 Val.

I know lol. I normally send game invites first and then send party if the person joins. Sometimes people don't like to use mics. Next time I'll send both I need those Medic skills. I played with some randoms last night and this medic was just sniping
his life away. No heal gun at all! I started to circle around her and she just kept sniping and sniping lol. I'm like Assault can't really do his job without you! Especially with me using Parnell, Val is his main girl. Ciara is his side piece

Really fun game.

Won 4 out of 5 on Evacuation last night.

Really good fun and so cleverly made.

Starting to realise that depending on the different tasks and game modes, some characters are more suited and compliment each other better.

Favorite Hunt Combo (Val, Cabot, Abe, Parnell) To me it seems Parnell really needs Val so he can use his Super Sayian ability to its full potential.

Favorite Rescue Combo (Ciara, Hank, Maggie, Hyde) Ciara is a must here, the speed boost and heal grenades are super helpful. Maggie is also great because Daisy can help revive survivors as well.

Favorite Nest Combo (Ciara, Any support, Abe, Hyde) I have to work more with this combo but I think any support class can be helpful in this mode. Hank has the air strike, Cabot can give the buff and Bucket has his main weapon & turrets. Medic can be a toss
up too but I usually run Ciara for the speed boost.

These are just the combo's I like to use. With Hunt I switch up Medics depending if I'm playing solo or online.

They all look good! Glad you brought this thread back ;-) Sadly I think within the first week it's going to a lot of "OP" threads on the official forums. I can't wait to try Slim & the new Assault. Crow actually makes me want to try my hands at Trapper more.
Sunny is also interesting as well.

Let's just say I'll have my hands full messing around with all these guys (and gal). Behemoth actually looks really balanced as well

Nice one Hog saw you unlocked that yesterday. Yeah Genchy I agree about the character unlock, I'm not a fan of support or assault classes (yet) so they are going to take a bit for me to level up. I know a lot of people got the unlock all character thing
on release as a bonus, but hey ho it'll get me used to playing as the different classes.

Such a shame this game got so much bad press - a lot of people are missing out on some good fun because of sites like metacritic etc poisoning opinions.

One trick is to keep playing.

Like you say the more you play, the more you discover you can do and the more fun you have.

But also you unlock bonus perks. I've just unlocked a +55% feeding increase for the monster and a +55% Jetpack recharge for the Hunters so higher levels = better skills.

As the Hunters you might want to consider increased damage perks instead of increased mobility perks since you need to do big damage quickly for each egg.

Use your mini map. If a Minion has just been spawned... the Monster is probably going to go for the nearest next egg.

As the Monster you might want to pick a target with the Hunters and concentrate on making that target the weak link. Harass the hunters and let chip damage add up over time.

Those are just a couple of suggestions but the more you play the more you discover.

In the Custom game you can set the difficulty to give yourself an advantage, change the number of strikes a player can have etc...

But a good way to get to grips with stuff on solo or get a feel playing online is to play Evacuation.

In this mode the outcome of the map gives a bonus to the winner on the next map.

As the monster I won the first hunt. The ensuing damage caused a bunch of striders being bred by the colonists to escaped and there was a surplus of Monster Snacks for me in the next game map.

At the same time it also auto balances so if your side loses you get a bit of a boost in the next round.

Don't think everything is over just because you lose a match, or even a series of matches. The game is well designed when it comes to evening the playing field and keeping things even.
