Who's enjoying Recore??

In my opinion, this is what makes FH3 even more special. Unlike many driving games which are based on US right side of road driving, you'd be caught out by the authorities if you drove on the right side here. Yes sure there are racing elements which involve
driving on any side of the road to get quickly, but the free driving where you just cruise, yeah you can't do that on the right side in Australia. It's a game so players can drive on which ever side of the road they want. But it will be very interesting to
see American players reaction when they try to drive on the right, against incoming traffic. Good thing about BOTH Recore and FH3 is if you get them digitally off XBL, it's part of the Xbox Play Anywhere so you can play it on any Windows 10 PC and your console
and scorpio. Retailers will sell the disc version cheaper, but to me it doesn't provide the benefits of Xbox Play Anywhere, and what if the disc reader on your console can't read it or plays up. I better get to sleep.

 

I don't care about Windows 10 or anything PC-related. Because I never owned one, and have always used consoles as my primary means of connectivity - dating back to dial-up via Sega Dreamcast (circa 1999). So yeah, I'm either a technophobe or a Luddite or
both!

Using consoles for dating certainly was difficult before the advent of Online services and areas such as XBox LIVE.

No, before XBox LIVE if I wanted wanted to start a console relationship with a woman I would have to get her to come back to my house and would say something like "Hey babe... you want to handle my joystick"?

Now 9 times out of 10 they would just simply turn around and slap me in the face...

But that 10th time...

It was magic. Pure magic.

Oh and 2 other things...

Downloaded this game but found out last night on Twitter from Rectify Gaming that I've won a physical copy and it's on it's way.

Oh well, I can't complain. Already know a good old person that I'm sure will be happy to play it

No time like the present for a status update! A good thing, considering today (or October 5th wherever you live in the world) sees a substantial patch arrive, along with a 30-minute demo on Xbox Live.

I last reported leaving Joule in "stasis", about being blindsided by a dungeon boss who kept thwarting my best efforts to take him down. Turns out I was PLAYING THE GAME WRONG. There's no need of a fix, or a patch, because it's the *knowledge* that counts

For those who haven't yet tried the game (and please do, you won't regret it!), here's the low-down: Your default corebot companion (Mack) is a dog. And you know what they say about a dog being "man's best friend", right? It's true. Mack is your default
companion, so going forward - when you start getting a rhythm for extracting cores (red ones, yellow ones and blue ones) - focus on feeding Mack some BLUE ones, okay? This builds up his Energy level, and this is *crucial* for defeating bosses. Because each
companion has a LETHAL attack (you direct it by pressing Y) and once a boss has been weakened, you send Mack in for the kill! This allows you to EXTRACT CORES without fear of reprisal.

After spending an hour or MORE (grrr) trying everything else, this worked for me the *first* time! It's foolproof; it's the lore.

Now, about my progress: I checked my hours played on the dashboard and I'm currently at 62 HOURS! All of this, and I haven't even finished the story! According to my log entries, I've defeated 22/22 Corebots, 30/33 Rogue Corebots, but only 18/29 UNIQUE Rogue
Corebots. I mean, I've actually defeated *hundreds* of corebots, but these are the types or varieties of each. Not only that, but as you travel across the world, you will happen upon AUDIO LOGS.

My records are showing I've only found 25/40 logs. And everytime you complete a set, you'll earn an achievement. As you can see, I've still got a reason to keep playing. ReCore is a FANTASTIC Xbox exclusive, and everybody should give the demo a try.

I've had it since launch, but I've only done the first mission so far. I enjoyed it and plan on playing it again soon. There's just too many games coming out!

 

i'm with Epic Louie, really enjoyed the hour or so i've played, but i also have a growing backlog of games and ReCore will have to fit in where ever it can get in.

 

I enjoy it, it's easy to pick up and I have all the missions done. There's a few things still need doing, but Gears 4 is installed, it will get more attention from midnight.

 

Is there any update on the missing tank frame? As much as I enjoyed this game it definitely felt rushed out the door. Wish the story had been a little more fully fleshed out as well and the last half of the game wasn't just a prism core grind. Think I may
go back and try to find more cores one day but for now it's all bout Forza and gears.

I don't think so, but there's room for more than just the tank, I was disappointed too, but I'm keen to see how many we end up getting. DLC packs should be interesting.
