Who thinks the decision I made was a good one?

I got a Xbox One from aarons rent place who thinks thats a good idea thats the only way i can purchase a Xbox One. Leave comments

IMO, I think it was a good decision made by Microsoft. That's if it was made by them.

Does anyone anywhere think that that was a good move? I think the developers were held at gunpoint or something when they made that decision.

 

Did you calculate the final cost based on the number of payments times the amount of each payment?? Is that more than the retail cost ? If so, bad choice. My guess is, that you would be better off saving the money in a jar until you have the full amount.
If buying via a rent-to-own business is the only way to afford it, then you are probably better off not buying it at all.

So Aaron thinks it's a good idea? , and seeing as this is the only way you can get one. I would assume you already have it ?. So you didn't have an Xbox, and now you do ?. Seems like a good decision to me.

 

I'm guessing that if you need to ask if it was a good decision, then it probably wasn't.

 

bad idea..... always bad.... just buy the thing... why rent it...? I never get that logic...

 

You end up paying a lot more for the product when you rent to own. I would've saved up until you could afford it. That being said it's your money and if you felt it was the right choice to get an Xbox One like that then who cares what we think?

 

@OP If you pay it off in 90 days it will be way cheaper than carrying out a 2 year contract. But those rent to own places still charge more even if you pay cash. Maybe a place that does layaway would've been cheaper. But in the end if you are loving
your purchase it doesn't matter what the community thinks.

 

Bad idea. If you need to finance a $400 (kinectless ?) game console...... you don't need one then. How are you going to afford games, extra controller, etc....... time to re-assess your priorities.

 

That a good decision. Aarons is just like Rent a Center. If it help out your budget then you made the right decision.

 

Terrible idea you could save up the money in no time surely. I think the final cost for a One is around $1000. if you want one that bad just get credit card and go that route.

 

rent-to-own is never a good idea, i tried it once when i was young, big mistake. i'd just take the money you're giving them and stick it under your mattress, you'll most likely be able to buy a new X1 in a quarter of the time.

 

Renting something like that is a terrible idea and using a credit card is just as bad. Save, then buy. I just got out of a ton of credit card debt. I can't even describe what torture I went through to get out of it. I've never rented anything before
but I know that rent centers are good for very short term rentals, like if you need a floor buffer for one days use but don't want to spend $700 to buy one that you may only need once a year. Renting an X1 when they are already coming down in price is like
saying "Money is just paper, I think I'll use it to start a campfire and cook up some weenies."
