    Who made cancel mean delete???


    Whos great idea was it that if you hit cancel on updating something it deletes it? For example i had a 821mb update it was at 100% would not finish for some reason making the game not work right so i hit cancel que so i can restart the 821mb update witch
    resulted in it deleting all 106GB of the game and now i have to wait 3 days for my trash internet to redownload a game i didn’t delete just camcles the 821mb update that wasnt finishing not delete all 106gb.

    Ok this is a silly thing to have as a feature because updates do break and it gets anoying when it keeps happining and rally should be fixed fast.

    But why would it recognise it as a complete cancelation. Surely the game is already completely downloaded the only thing not is the update. Doesn’t make sense.

    It would be great to start over from where the download stopped, but unfortunately it recognizes it as a complete cancellation.

    Generally canceling an update would not delete a game. There is a possibility the update was finalizing or was having trouble and deleting it caused the game to corrupt. I suggest reporting the bug on r/xboxinsiders so
    technical teams can more properly be alerting to the potential bug.

    No way! Literally just had the same thing happen. Im having to download it all again aswell. I spoke to someone though that said if that happens again (update stuck on 100%) Reset your console but choose the choice that lets you keep games and apps. Hopefully
    it would be more detailed when you come to actually do it... regardless of that though, why would it delete a game already installed...
