Who knows how to make your gamertag private?

I am constantly getting creepy messages from strangers I've never even played with. How can I stop this???

P.S. the support page here WILL NOT load, so I can't even ask the company

I really do not know at this point if I will be playing anything in the fall. I have been trying to finish up that degree that I put off for 15 years. I do hope that the next cod game will be playable, but have my doubts. Just in case I will be getting
battlefield 3 to take care of my gaming fix for the winter break.

Don't forget about Gears3. It seriously has so many features in it I doubt I'll even have time to play MW3/BF3.

It's easy use the tools you are given

Don't want to talk to strangers then block and mute

Also anyone you engage with online is going to talk

Worst case set privacy to friends only

The best way to avoid such people would be going Settings -> Account -> Privacy & Online Safety -> Xbox Live Privacy -> View Details and Customize, -> Communication and Multiplayer ->Others can communicate with Voice, Text or Invites: set to Friends.

I don't know if this helps out, maybe you figured it out, anyway, if you haven't this is all I got, sorry for the delay.

You have to be visible online

That's the nature of the internet

However people don't randomly search for people you must be in some club or something or your YouTube or social networking that's causing the issue

Hey there i just want to make sure you have the right gamertag since you mentioned it was your son who had the message in their in box on Xbox one giving them access to the program.

If you want to keep the gamertag private you can PM me.

Go into the support forums:

forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx

Make a post in the forum most fitting, AND find someone who has "Mister" in their gamertag and send them a private message with your situation.
