Who Else Will Be Playing DOOM This Friday The 13th?

Less than 5 hrs to go. Unfortunately I got off work early today and now I'm just counting the hours.

 

seen a few clips posted on my news feed earlier and the game looks insanely fun. Cant wait to grab my copy and give it a go

 

So at 1 min past midnight I fly through the 1st level... to discover in the end of the level stats that I found 0/3 secrets. lol

I'm thinking I should probably try to slow down.

 

Man, Id did an amazing job imo. Great FPS!

 

I like the snapmap feature which is mainly short mini games made by the community

 

This game is beautiful.

They have captured what it was like to play DOOM back in the day.

Wow.

This game just... upped it's game!

Not only is the Campaign amazing... but the "Snap Map" feature allows you to create your very own DOOM levels, giving you control over layout, objects, drops, pickups, , sound, lighting, enemy spawns, patrol patterns, behaviour, disposition, health levels,
strength levels... and they even have tools to allow you to string together "Logic Chains" allowing you to have events happen once certain conditions are met... the level of Customisation is absolutely huge.

The Multiplayer is different enough from your HALO/COD/Battlefield that you don't feel like you're playing a clone of the big old boring 3.

The only thing wrong with this game is the ridiculously expensive Season Pass and there's enough content at launch that you're probably not gonna need it.

 

Was going to try multiplayer but it seems like it's all team based which I can't stand

pkvas, the multiplayer is decent. Nothing great and some beta issues carried over but still good enough. This multiplayer is fairly basic and straight forward. I play by myself and you can do well that way.

The thing is there really is a "best" combination on weapons. You really should not be dying to players using other weapons as they are not balanced well. Especially given the way the maps are designed. But my overall biggest issue is that the connections
of some players just jumps around. And that can give players with those connections an advantage. As in the beta I have been killed by players I was behind. The player does a terrible job of aiming and spins and I am actually directly behind them and they
kill me with the super shotgun in front of them. And I have been killed with melee from distance.

The campaign is pretty good though. Easily the best part of the packages. I played this mostly on PC but did give is a do on the One as well.

 

I only want it for the single player, so will wait for a price drop, it looks good though.

 

I was gonna get it Tuesday but Ive just picked up Fallout 4 so it has to go on the back burner.
