Who else is getting burned out on the Shooter genre

I myself is slowly getting tired of shooters, I mean this genre is getting quite milked now. The last really good Battlefield game in my opinion is Bad Company 2 (BF4 was good, but not better than Bad Company 2), COD is worn out, Counter Strike is overrated,
Battlefront is good but not $60 good, Halo hasn't been the same since Halo 3 (even though I'm hearing great things about Halo 5, so I will definitely give the series one more chance), Destiny is a joke of a game and Evolve was boring. So far right now, we
encounter some great shooters like Wolfenstein The New Order/The Old Blood, Metro Redux (even though it's just Metro 2033 & Last Light Remastered), Far Cry 4, Borderlands, Titanfall (underrated in my opinion), Gears of War, and much more. Even though I'm getting
tired of this genre, I'm highly looking forward to Battleborn, Doom, Shadow Warrior 2, Overwatch, etc.

For the most part, only the multiplayer shooters are getting tired. Feel free to express your thoughts on the shooter genre as of today.

Inversion

One of the few games that has my interest for 360. I'm looking forward to its release. Breathes some new life into the shooter genre. That genre is getting very tiresome.

 

Controller getting burned out

Why do my controllers keep getting burned out. My custom controller which is a year old and the controller that comes with the xbox one x project scropio edition have both been fried in the last 3 months. I use the rechargable pack that Microsoft sells and
I charge it with my phone charger. I'm pissed considering all of the money I've put into this and considering the controller is limited edition

 

I'm the opposite. I've stopped playing them for a while now I'm itching to play a new one.

 

It looked like you are bored playing too much shooter games. Try changing the genre for some months. I am going through the same phase as you right now.

 

Play a really long RPG like The Witcher 3 or Dragon Age inquisition. By the time you're finished you'll be ready for'a nother shooter.

 

Military shooters, yes, so over them and haven't played one since CoD Ghosts (even though I quite enjoyed that SP campaign, I can't justify the price tag for that alone anymore).

Destiny is now my go to FPS and as Brand said, it's really refreshing to go back to once you've played an RPG for a long time, but also having the 3rd person view in an FPS is great too which is why I'm digging Fallout 4 right now.

 

Brandi, that's what's I'm going to do, I need to get my hands on The Witcher 3 & Fallout 4. I already got DA Inquisition as a proud EA Access member. So yup, the RPG genre will get me away from most shooters for a few months.

 

So bored of shooters.

Skipped "HALO 5" because the Master Mess Collection was a mess.

Skipped FLOPS III because I already own "Titanfall".

Was gonna avoid "Star Wars: Battlefront" but the game just looked too good to pass up.

Glad I grabbed it. Incredibly fun to play and so true to the "Star Wars Films" it's amazing.

Check out "Murdered Soul: Suspect".

Brilliant game. Very different. Solve your own murder. You can pick it up for ridiculously cheap.

To be fair you'll probably only get 1 playthrough from it, but it's a great experience and you can't complain about the price.
