Who else has signed up for EA Access?

it is a 100% unlocked full game BUT each game will be assigned it's own time limit of play, with a MINIMUM of 2 hours (not sure of max). If after the 5 days is up, you are no longer able to play the game but would need to purchase the game with a 10% discount
of course) and just pick up right where you left off with no additional downloads... BTW not sure but I think you can gain gamer points during the trials...

 

What trials are you talking about? I paid, so I get the games 100% for as long as I'm willing to continue paying. Are you referring to a trial period to try EA Access before paying? Because if you aren't, then that would make EA Acess the biggest scam I've
ever heard of and cement EA as an evil company in my eyes...

 

I find it hard to believe that EA will allow full access to a brand new AAA title for five days, there must be an upper time limit on how much you can play or complete. Otherwise whats to stop subscribers playing the death out of a new title and then not
bothering to buy it. How can it be proven during the Beta GG when no new games have been released for you to try it with?

 

They don't allow access to brand new AAA titles so far as I know. Only to back-end titles in their vault. It's used for getting newer games, but rather for getting access to games that have already released that you may not have purchased. The only thing
it does for brand new AAA games is give you an automatic 10% discount during purchase as well as various other discounts like with DLC.

 

the vault is just like games with gold. You get them for as long as you stay a member. The new games are only for a short time but you can buy them if you want them. they will add more games to the vault as time goes on

 

Never subscribe to any service associated with EA.

 

New titles will have early access trial periods 5 days before release. There will be a time limit on how much play time you can have over that 5 day period. Clear enough for everyone?

I did !!And i'll be playing madden 15 on Tuesday!

Oh and not all demos are behind this "pay wall",,NHL 15 will have a demo out on Aug. 26th for both consoles,good move on their part ..

For the record too,madden has NO demo !The EA access allows those who bought it ,to play it one week early..Its going to be the full game

 

I am willing to bet you won't see any EA demos on Xbox Live in the future. They will all be tied into this service.

I for one would not pay and support that, no matter how many free old games they throw at me.

What do you then do once every other developer or publisher starts doing the same thing?

All those little monthly transactions will soon add up.

It's starting to get a little bit like Sky, only this will likely end up being more expensive.

I signed up for a year. It's a bargain. I hope to see many other publishers do the same. I'll have my fill of one publishers games, then move on to another. The hope for me is i'll discover some great games I never would've tried otherwise.
