Who else has had their Xbox One Elite controller grips wear off after only two years or so?

I purchased my Xbox One Elite Controller in 2017 and already the two main thumbstick grips have broken and one of the taller thumbsticks I replaced it with just broke. The grips on the handles have also worn off. Really pissed off TBH because Microsoft was
advertising this as their #1 controller because of how long-lasting it is and its bluetooth abilities but quite frankly the grips on this thing suck!

If you're thinking of getting an Elite Controller, don't do it unless Microsoft has a fix for this because before you know it your grips will probably just break off too. I keep all of my Xbox accessories neatly packed away in good condition too, this is
the first time I've had this issue and I've owned a lot of gaming equipment without it breaking.

I have very sweaty hand so I think the salt in the sweat destroys the grips...

The reality is controllers are not made to last long as it was made before. I still having PS2 controllers and Xbox 360 ones in better condition than the newest ones...

I'm starting to wonder if maybe there were a few bad batches, as I keep hearing similar issues, even when they first released, with the rubber coming off.

Me, and several of my friends, all purchased them day one, and not one of us have had Any issues whatsoever. Looks like we were maybe just lucky.

I'm still using mine, and it looks like new, which considering it's age, is pretty awesome.

My bog standard controller however, well... that's another story

My rubber parts came off plus my bumper buttons broke.

I personally have had my elite since 2017 as well but everything still looks good ( and I play MANY hours a week after work)
