I was on facebook and GAME put up a post about playing as SNAKE and people commented and said FAIL GAME you play as BIG BOSS, is this true and if so who is BIG BOSS?

Ground Zeroes gets a release window

This is great news for anyone who is excited about the new MGS game. If you dont know Ground Zeroes serves as a prologue to MGS V Phantom Pain. It shoud arrive to consoles next spring

Solid snake is the original snake you played as in MGS 1 and then at the start of sons of liberty. He is a clone of big boss as is liquid snake. In MGS 3 you go back and play as big boss who is the original snake. In this one you are an older and more ages
big boss.

I came into this franchise at MGS 2. Played a little bit of MGS 3 and MGSW. This (to me at least) is one of those franchises that really confuse me in terms of setting. I lose track too easy. I have no problems with games that visit different timelines
through out their life, but yeah, it gets confusing for me to keep up lol. Especially if you miss a game along the way :/

 

It is very confusing, so many clones of snake . I did not even know that solid snake was a clone until one of my friends who is a PS fan explained it to me. Originally I though MG3 was just before the events on MGS 1 and you were the same snake. Read up
on it and its still confusing haha. The Japanese tend to do this with some of their games sometimes.

 

Well I am glad I am not the only one! It doesn't help that everyone seems to have an eye patch too lol.

 

Solid Snake who you play as in MGS 1, 2, and 4 is a clone of Naked Snake aka Big Boss who you play as in MGS 3, Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes, and Phantom Pain. Both characters go by the designation Snake. So the Snake I am playing as right now in Ground Zeroes
is in fact the original Snake. He's just not the Snake you played as in the first games.

Ah heck, not that didn't stop people from missing the point of the other games...

 

I've played a few games where I didn't understand the plot at all, but kept going anyway because I enjoyed myself. Pretty much any jrpg is at least somewhat confusing to me because of the writing style. I like a pretty straight forward plot. Not necessarily
simplistic, but something that gels into a cohesive story.

Even after so many years, I'm still wondering what the hell was going on with Cloud in FF7.

 

well i played the first ever MGS and that was is i tried mgs rising and hated it btw someone on twitter just said they finished mgs GZ in 15mins 30 seconds
