Who decides where MS moderators' moderating ends and arbitrary censorship begins?

Hi folks,

Something not very good happened on a forum here today, 14 Jan 20. I would like to hear what others in this "Microsoft Community" think...whether they agree with me...and what, if anything, Microsoft could be doing better. The underlying issue is not
what MS can do on its own sponsored forums, but what it
should do, for the best interests of all involved. It's not about game controllers.

Another member, kb1ilul990, started a 17 October 2019 thread, "Controller sensitivity - a must read", expressing his frustration that Microsoft has given us no significant way to regulate the sensitivity of our ever more expensive and wonderful
Xbox controllers in a realistic way, and an MS fix is overdue. There were six pages of responses, with various points of view. MS has done nothing about the issue. I only saw the thread today, about three months later.

Like the person who started that thread, I am frustrated for the same reasons, having bought an expensive new Xbox Elite 2 wireless controller primarily because advertising led me to believe I would be able to adjust its sensitivity downward for use with
older games. I can't. I was motivated to offer my thoughts.

After reading all the posts, I added a long and carefully thought out one, a constructively critical comment supporting the original poster. Basically, it asked why can't Microsoft simply lay all this to rest with a quick, inexpensive software fix, making
everybody happy and improving Microsoft's image among users and software professionals?

I was not anticipating a hostile Microsoft staffer's reaction.

Before there could be one response, the entire thread was locked down by Microsoft Agent/Moderator "XBF Leo G". Apparently, this gentleman doesn't believe that criticism of Microsoft policy is to be tolerated, even when its primary thrust included high
compliments on a fine product, just released without some necessary software tweaking.

I would be interested to hear how some other forum contributors feel about this free discussion issue, not necessarily the controller software problems; what your own experiences here have been; whether MS should be, well, stifling discussion of needed
improvements, which necessarily begin with agreement that perfection has not yet been achieved. I guess that's why we have endless updates.

A company makes and refines its public image every day, as in right here, right now. The delete key does not solve all problems, all the time.
