who came up with the "game bar" idea and why did he think we need this?

But I agree, not everyone uses it or even wants it.

If you're getting a message like “you’ll need a new app to open this ms-gamebar,” that usually means the Game Bar is either uninstalled or corrupted; yet Windows is still trying to call it up.

Here’s how to disable or get rid of it safely:

Go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar

Turn off the toggle that says “Open Xbox Game Bar using this button on a controller” or “Enable Xbox Game Bar for things like recording game clips…”

This stops it from launching.

If you want to completely uninstall it (which is trickier but doable), you can use PowerShell:

Right-click Start > Windows PowerShell (Admin)

Enter this command:

Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay* | Remove-AppxPackage

That will uninstall it for your user profile.

If for any reason you change your mind or something needs it later, you can reinstall it via the Microsoft Store by searching Xbox Game Bar.

Neither came up with the idea, not even close. The whole "point" about copying came from someone who is unbelievably uninformed about gaming in general, not need to keep bringing it up.

I really like the guy, You can tell he's passionate about gaming and that's exactly who we need as the Xbox CEO. He's just so came cool and collected.
