    White Screen for Games & Windows Store after Win 10 Upgrade May 17,2018


    Windows completed its usual update yesterday, however when trying to run Microsoft Solitaire, Microsoft Mahjongg or Microsoft Store, after the main screen I get a blank white screen with text in the upper left hand corner, for example 'Microsoft Solitaire',
    then within a few seconds it closes. During the update several messages popped-up, as per the image, however everything else during the update ran as per usual. I'm loathe to uninstall any of the three programs as there's some doubt whether I'll be able to
    download/reinstall them again if I can't access Microsoft Store.

    Play Minecraft on Hololens

    Hi, the Windows Store provided the Minecraft Windows 10 Edition available for Hologram (HoloLens).

    Did any one have an idea, how to play Minecraft on the HoloLens?

    I could install the app from the store, but after starting the app on the HoloLens and placed the window, I will only get an white screen with the Minecraft logo. The loading circle appears, but after 10-15 seconds, the loading circle disappears, the white
    screen is still open and nothing happens.

    Any ideas?

    Xbox Play Anywhere

    Just be aware that you need the Win 10 Anniversary edition of the OS to enable Play Anywhere. It took me about 3 hours to download and "upgrade" the earlier version of Win 10 on my PC yesterday to enable the download button in the Windows store so I could
    get the PC copy I was entitled to.

    Do any of your other apps do this? On window 10 there is a known bug when onedrive is on autostart and logged in. Onedrive app on win 10 changes admin permissions on our local PC and can prevent windows store and store downloaded apps from working. I had
    this a lot when i first upgraded. I had to reset all my permissions (easier to do if you restore win 10 to the initial fresh install state (after upgrade)) stop onedrive from running on start (remove from start up folder) and never log in to the onedrive app!
    It may not be this...but if you are having other apps fail like store and mail...it is likely this bug!

    Hey there Mom Am I White,

    To clarify. have you upgraded your Windows 10 version to the Windows Anniversary version? This is required in order to be able to take advantage of the Xbox Play Anywhere promotion with games like ReCore and Gears of War 4.

    If you haven't, be sure to do that and check in the Windows Store for the download. Let us know how it goes!

    Ah, different operating systems. Might be why it works on the other, one is Win 10 Pro and the other is Win 10 Home.

    That being said, the solution isn't to upgrade to Win 10 Pro on the Home computer, but it's that probably the build (21h2) might be having some issues. However if you Windows Experience Packs point to the Windows Insider Program, I would recommend submitting feedback because depending on which build you are in, you may be testing a pre-release Windows build that may not be reading your Game Bar. To make sure it gets fixed in the coming updates, submitting the feedback to the Windows Insider Program is the step I highly recommend.

    One more thing I can think to try, if you can use the WIN + R key and type regedit. Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

    Choose GameDVR > Do you see AppCaptureEnabled? If you do in the Data column does it say (1) or (0) at the end.

    After can you go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore

    In Game Congif store do you see GameDVREnabled? If you do under the data section, do you see a (1) or a (0) at the end.
