White power button distracting too you?

    Hello,

I'm not sure if any of you have noticed how bright the white power button is on the Xbox One X console. I find it pretty distracting in a dark room. I believe they should change it to the "Xbox green" color like the 360. It's not as bright or vivid, it would
    look cool to.

If your thinking about getting an Xbox one X the problem is pretty moot for how good the system is so don't let that deter you from getting one.

Does anybody else find it a little distracting or to bright? Opinions or comments on the matter?

    :)

Flashing white power button on console.

    Hey there Colonel Daniel!

Sorry to hear about the issue. If you're still experiencing this issue, let's start with a power cycle so we can clear the Xbox One consoles system cache.

Follow the steps below to power cycle your Xbox One console:

    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable from the Xbox One and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the power back into the unit and power the console on.
Post back and let us know if that helps! White power button distracting too you? :)

I've just bought my xbox one only to find out it won't even come on. i push the power button it turns white for one second then nothing. The power brick turns white for a while too but turns orange after a second. I really hoping i wasn't sold a faulty model.

Doesn`t bother me in the slightest.

If you are finding it that bright then just stick a piece of insulation tape over it, problem solved.

I wish they had brightness sliders for the power light and for the Kinect light, including allowing you to turn both lights completely off.

Originally, Kinect would detect the light level of the room and dim the lights accordingly, but MS then allowed manufacturers to disable most of the features of the Kinect in order to gain extra resources to use elsewhere and the light dimming is affected
by that, so in many games now the lights are on max no matter how dark the room is.

It's not the Y button it's the B button. After you target the guards you want distracted press the (B) to have your thieves, mercenaries or the Romani's distract them.

Wont get past the big controller blinking buttons at me

I had this issue too. I fixed it in the following way:

    - Turn off your Xbox by pressing the power button on the console itself (white Xbox logo).

    - Wait for all the lights to turn off on every device (Kinect, controller and the console itself).

    - Power on your console by pressing the white Xbox logo on the controller itself, not the console.

Everything worked as intended after that.
