Whining Noise from Xbox One

I found a lot of old forum posts about a high pitched whining noise coming from the Xbox One. Unfortunately, I have that same noise. It doesn't do it as much during games, but it does do it during idle time and if I turn it off. It only fully stops when
I unplug it. I found other people with this same issue and a decent amount of them said to send it in to Microsoft. I'd like to avoid doing that if possible. Is there another way to fix this?

Maybe it'll fix the *** whining/buzz noise I get on my Kinect-less Xbox One.

Sadly i do not know of a way to fix it other than to send it to Microsoft. I recently got the Xbox One S off of ebay and i swear it makes an odd noise when it is running. My problem is that the console keeps turning itself off every 5 minutes when i try
to play a game. It is an internal hardware problem.

 

Mine started this about a month ago. Got fed up and took myself off the insider program that lets you get beta dashboard releases. Reset my xbox to factory settings but didnt delete games or anything. I have not heard anything for the last 3 days. Hope
