while xbox is powered off (fast power off/on resume mode) my TV blinks black

If your cable/sat box is on passthru just say Xbox on, then say Xbox watch TV. Pretty awesone IMO. Such a fast boot.

If you have your system set to power mode instant on that means the Xbox will never be powered off when you tell it to. It will either be on sleep mode or on. Your Xbox may look powered off because the Xbox symbol on the system and kinect is off but its
not. Its on sleep mode.

Only way to completely power it off is setting the mode to Power mode energy saving.

power saving means console uses hardly anything and is only using enough power for accepting command from controller to power on.

Standby means unit will fast resume, will sync and update while in standby, it usually kicks in the fan on low and sometimes the light blinks steady while doing this, also can be started up for remote streaming etc. still uses very little power.

I don't remember that I think they said you could turn off the console, which would set it into a low power mode and resume your game where you left off though, I doubt you could physically play a game, then switch to another one while the other is paused
it would be wasted power.

I doubt the xbox will allow that either unless they plan on letting 1/2 the tv play a game for your kid while the other half is you playing halo or something.

Same problem. Usually after streaming video. Brand new, matte black S console. No cloud storage. Just spins up abnormally fast for 10-15 seconds with a power light blink after it's already gone off

I have my Samsung TV set to Dynamic Picture mode, All special viewing modes off and in the Expert Settings the following:

HDMI Black Level - Auto

Dynamic Contrast - High

HDMI UHD Color - On

Digital Clean View - Auto

Auto Motion Plus - Auto

That should give you a start. Play around with the settings and see what works for you.

One thing to watch, if you set it that the TV turns on when the console powers on, even if you turn it off, it will still power on if the TV is set to the console input when the console is off. I get around it by always making sure I leave the TV on the
cable input and not changing inputs until r the console is powered on.

-edit- for clarification- if the TV is set to power the console on when the TV is powered on, that is when the TV will power the console off if it's left on the console input. Either don't set the TV to control the console, or always remember to change inputs
before powering the TV off.
