    While installing / updating any game or app on my console, other games and Apps fail to start.


    Whenever I have a game or app installing/updating, no other game or app would start during this time. If I pause the installation or update, the game still fails to start. If I uninstall the app or game that's in progress of installing, the other games or
    Apps would start per normal. Please help.

    My games & apps app won't open. Please help!

    My games & apps app on my xbox one dashboard won't open. I checked my storage and it says 100% full. last time i checked it was 37% full. When i try to run my apps they won't launch and it says "We had trouble installing or updating this. Try installing
    it again" How do open my games & apps app?

    Why did Mixer app disappeared on xbox one and is not in the store after an update?

    If an APP fails an update it can be de-installed although I think Mixer is more of a built in app than a selectable one. Have you checked for any updates or even software updates on your console?
    - Yes, my console and background games+apps are set to ON for automatic updates in my ssettings. Guess I have to reset console again today

    Xbox One will only attempt to download game updates if either they are started while the system is online or if the console is set to 'Instant on' - in which case the console would update games automaticaly while in a low power state. Otherwise, no, the
    console will not download game updates, you should be prompted for them. You can see if any updates are being applied from the 'My Games and Apps' App on the Xbox One dashboard.

    Hi You can try the following:

    • Try installing the game in 'offline mode'. This will stop the game from installing updates during the install and simply install the data from the disc. You will then need to complete an update while online.
    • Download the Xbox App on your phone or tablet and link the app to your Xbox. Via the Xbox App you can download any Xbox game direct to the console (you can even download games you don't own digitally). Once the download has completed, simply insert your game disc to start the game.
    • If neither of the above options work, you should attempt to reset the console, while keeping your current games and apps. This guide explains how to do this.

    I can install games that dont open the xbox app like candy crush, but some links refer me to the xbox app and even starting downloads from there fails. When it starts preparing/downloading from xbox app, the windows store continues saying "install from xbox app" and doesnt give the stop square button like other apps.
