Which xbox to choose

Hello everyone, I want to buy an Xbox one, my preference is of course to the Xbox One X, but my TV is an Full HD with hdmi 1.4.

I strongly hesitate between One S and One X, knowing that it is not impossible that I invest in a 4K TV in the next years.

Is my tv just able to use a One X or even a One S?

Go with the Minecraft one. Reasons why:

1: x2 more storage than the 500GB, and the size of games and updates on XB1 is H-U-G-E. Monthly updates average 250MB, Forza 5 is 35GB. Just to get an idea.

2: More value for dollar. With the Minecraft, you get TWO times more storage space, and A STAND, for only $30 more.

Yes Xbox One has external HDD support. But it just saves attaching an external USB HDD which takes up MORE SPACE rather than buy a same size console with more juice and more storage and space saving. I know.... manufacturers are OBSESSED with making things
in Black (except Apple). But Black is ok.

We don't know you, we don't know what you like or dislike, why are you putting the decision onto people that you don't know?

Psychologists would possibly say that you don't want to make the decision, and that in your mind, if you give the decision to someone else and its the wrong decision, then its not your fault you wasted roughly $270 its the fault
of whoever made the decision...............Just saying.

 

Hey there, Xbox One S has got very good 4k upscaled graphics, while the X is true 4k graphics. For now, I've got the Xbox One S, and that works a charm. It is really just up to you, you can either spend a little more for true 4k which you can use on a
4K TV in the future as well, or you can go with the Xbox One S. You're current TV can support Xbox One/S/X, although an FHD screen, it will look a lot clearer with the S or X.

You don't need to have a 4K TV for an Xbox One X. If you are going to display something in 4K,

this page talks about the different resolution support requirements.

If you were to get an X now, you can get 4K TV later. That's what I did.

 

To echo what Mistress Sara said, you don't need a 4k TV to get the benefit out of an Xbox One X. The extra processing power in the console will allow you to take advantage of better performance in games without a 4k TV, and if you ever upgrade your TV,
your games will look better as well as media, as opposed to just media improving.

Take a look at the costs difference and the available bundles. If the cost difference isn't a deal breaker, I'd recommend the One X, but it ultimately comes down to what you'd rather spend.

Well if you have a Full HD TV i recomend you the Xbox one S, both works on with TV, but you will really enjoy the best quality from One X using a 4k TV. Also in the future if you buy a 4k TV you will enjoy a really great quality from the S because the upscaling
feature and the HDR. Of course the Xbox one X will be the best option if money is not a problem for you, but if you are trying to save money the S is the best option.

Go for X it's an awesome machine, and it is much more powerful than S. 4K resolution is only one of the improvements in X, and there are other aspects such as detailed graphics, better frame rates and quicker load times that you can even enjoy on a decent
Full HD TV.

My main question is about the difference of Hdmi, my TV is equipped with Hdmi 1.4 while the Xbox One X has a Hdmi 2.0b.

I guess the flow of information will be impacted, I do not know if that will not prevent me from enjoying the benefits of performance and fluidity that one X can bring me.

You don't need to worry about what HDMI your TV has. An Xbox One X connected to Full HD display will still perform to the fullest on your TV. only it will downscale 4K enhanced games to 1080P using it's own 'Super Sampling technology. Enhanced games will
still play and look better on your One X console compared to an original Xbox One or One S hooked up to a Full HD display.

And when you upgrade to the Full 4K experience, you'll get the full resolution of enhanced games plus HDR. Like others have said, you don't need to buy a 4K display to experience the One X.
