    I know a steps down transformer is needed to use Xbox in other countries. But which one will be the best one? I saw some online but not sure they are best or not..

    how can I make work a Xbox One in a country with 220V?

    I just got a new X-Box 360 E to India from US and used to Step down transformer to power the console, but to my surprise the power brick got into fumes.I am wondering why, can any one tell me the watts that needs to be used for the step down transformer.

    I bought Xbox one s from US and want to use in India . Do I need any voltage step down transformer or I can directly use . India’s power supply is 220 V

    You should never use any kind of step down transformer or power converter with your console.

    You will need to buy the correct power brick for India,Microsoft store is the best place to get one as you know it will be an official one.

    Can I know why shouldn't I use the step down transformer?

    As you said, where can I buy a new Xbox 360 power supply in India. We only have some third party power supply.. Where can I get the official one?? From Microsoft.

    Step downs etc. can damage your console & it would void the warranty as well.

    The Microsoft store online should be able to supply the correct power brick or you could try phoning support when you are in India & they may be able to order one for you.

    I have tried everything but left only with disappointment.

    There is no such online Microsoft store. When I contacted the Xbox support they say it is not possible to have a Indian power supply. They only replace a original Xbox US PSU. That too they will get it from US. Even they said that I have to pay for it because
    the console is out of region. I have warranty for it till Nov

    They asked me to pay 4500 INR. That's too much..

    I'm stuck here..
