    You are mixing up the two

    GTA online is xbox series only which is a standalone game

    GTA 5 online is for both consoles but requires gta5

    Xbox one GTA 5

    The official line is Its their last 'hurrah' on this generation, no plans for PC or next gen. As with all GTAs a year or so later it'll be released on those platforms. This game is a day one buy for me, I don't care about the 'competition' from a next
    gen console (which I'm buying day one too), GTA always has been the best series for me.
