    A hard drive is not needed. From the marketplace description "NOTE: Installing to the Xbox 360 Hard Drive is recommended. Not doing so may result in degraded visual and audio quality."

    So it is recommended but not required.

    MS don't recommend certain models/makes I went for a 2tb Seagate which plugs into mains no problems at all, Seagate and Western Digital seem to be the most used with the preview members, as for 3.5 vs 2.5 no idea on that one in the end its down to you mate.

    MS don't recommend certain models/makes I went for a 2tb Seagate which plugs into mains no problems at all, Seagate and Western Digital seem to be the most used with the preview members, as for 3.5 vs 2.5 no idea on that one in the end its down to you mate.

    Anything that is not an authorized hard drive (official MS brand) is a violation of the terms of service and can put you at risk for being banned. Since that is not an authorized hard drive it would not be recommended.

    What kind of hard drive do you have? Which 360 do you have?

    Original Xbox games require an official MS brand hard drive in order to run. If you're hard drive is not official, or you have no hard drive, it won't work.
