Which country store has the most complete list of available games and services?

Hello, there!

I currently live and work on Cyprus, though i'm citizen of Russia and until recently lived there.

I bought a Xbox One S and registered it location as Russia, cause Xbox Live services doesn't supported on Cyprus.

But i faced a bunch of problem after that. First, there is no Spotify at russian Microsoft Store, and i can't listen music through my Xbox. Second, i bought Xbox mainly because of backward compatibility, but i was shocked to see there is no Ninja Gaiden
Black available for me, and it's one of my favorite titles on Xbox.

So the question, what country has a most complete store and the largest list of Game Pass Games? Is it legal if i change my Xbox location, let's say, to US, though in reality i don't live here? I just want to have a most full experience possible.

No dedicated servers for titanfall in Australia

They completely changed the original list of countries that would be officially supported on Xbox LIVE on the Xbox ONE. This is the new list.

Notice the little asterisk next to some of the countries which means (* Xbox Live available on Xbox One in these countries).

That is the list for regions for the forums. It will change the language that shows on the forums to that which is spoken in that country. It has nothing to do with the list of where live is available.

The list I posted above is the current one with available regions.

 

Hi, not all the stores have the same stuff unfortunately. it's illegal to change location to get content unavailable in your region.

 

Hi Dimitry! I guess the store with the biggest catalogue would be the US Xbox Store. Changing your consoles region is not completely in line with Microsofts ToS I'd say, but a lot of people do so and right now (which
might change in the future) you don't have to fear any consequences.

An additional small tip: You can also try to find a used copy of Ninja Gaiden Black and then use the disc in order to download the game to your Xbox One which works as well. I hope this helps!

 

Hi and thank you for answer! Then what location should i choose if i currently live in Cyprus, where Xbox Live Gold is not supported? Also, i live here only while my work contract still lasts, but then i either return to Russia, or move to another country.
Which country should i choose? What is legal in my case?

Thank you very much for your reply! An thank you for tip about Ninja Gaiden, i thought that game will be unplayable even from the disc, but if not, then it a great.

 

The US store as that is their biggest market.

 

To add to this, setting your region to a different location does not always allow you to buy things from the other store. With a lot of backwards compatible games, and I believe Ninja Gaiden Black is one of them, the games are region locked. So your account
region would have to match your physical location and you would have to be in that region to purchase/download the game.
