Which converter can be used to play Xbox in India ?

Microsoft does not license any non-Microsoft accessories that plug into the Xbox One power socket. Using any accessory other than the standard Xbox One power supply may damage your Xbox and void your warranty.

I would recommend instead of buying a converter, buying an Indian power supply, to avoid any possible compatibility issues.

It will work. You'll just need an adaptor for the plug so that you can plug it in. India uses 240V, alternating at 50HZ, which is the same as the United Kingdom. You will not need a power converter.

In most cases, the power adaptor is usually fried and now unusable. In the best case, if you try to use it with a stepdown converter, it just won't work.

In the worst case, the damaged power adaptor can catch fire.

So do NOT use this power adaptor anymore!

Instead, import the power adaptor from a European country like France or Germany, that use plugs that are compatible with the

Type C plug used in India.

Or simply import the power adaptor from ANY 220/230V country, and use any power cord that is able to plug into the

C17/C18 plug of the European power adaptor.

Keep in mind, that you can't usually buy the power adaptor separately in stores. So you need to contact the European support and hope they can send you a replacement power adaptor to India.

Should you still consider getting a stepdown converter, make sure the converter can sustain at least 200 Watts of power!

First off, thanks for the response. Sorry about the delay in my replying.

My console is a new Xbox 360S which is designed for India, which is where it was bought (Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India). I'm not able to find a link to the converter that I'm currently using as I believe it is a local firm which manufactures it and thus doesn't
have a website which lists its products. It is however, supposed to convert the 6A supply that the electrical set-up in my house is designed to offer, to the 16Amps required by the Xbox. And I've made sure that my console is placed in a well ventilated area
and am still facing the same problem of random beep sounds and the console shutting down abruptly.

Hey there Thor! Since you mention being out of the country with a US console, are you using a wall outlet converter or did you get an entirely new power cable while you were in India? We don't recommend the converters, as they can sometimes not work or even
short out the power supply. If you haven't already, please try an actual power supply sold in India and let us know if that helps. Thanks!
