Which card to pay with?

Im looking to buy a custom controller but im confused on which card i should get to buy it. Do I use a Xbox gift card or do I use the Microsoft gift card?

Cancel my Subscription

It's not currently banned,just suspended,which means i can't connect to the internet.(i had problems with my credit card and couldn't pay my auto-renewal)

Should i fix my credit card problem,pay the subscription and THEN cancel it?

Pre ordering Xbox one games

When you pay with a card, you're not actually charged until about 10 days before the game is released which is why you have to keep your card on file. The only way to have payment removed immediately is by paying with your Microsoft account balance. So you
could cancel your current pre-order in order to remove your card, and then get an Xbox gift card to add money to your account and pay that way.

how is that specific to this thread, the op is trying to redeem a pre pay gamepass card but is asking for payment details, but this depends which country they are in, some countries like mine do not require a payment method to redeem a pre pay card.

It can be possible that this card was used on a card before with a pending balance for subscription renewal which was not paid until declined. This is the one of the reasons Microsoft can block your card, so pay your dues.
