Which cables should I use for 4K gaming on the X?

Got my new monitor and set it up. So far it works GREAT! The picture is flawless and it is very fast. But my monitor keeps giving me an error message saying, Cautionnly use cables we provided for this monitor. And then it goes away after like 10
seconds. When you get a new 4k tv or monitor to use for your xbox do you use the microsoft hdmi or the hdmi provided to you with your tv? Could something happen or are they just being extra cautious?

From my experience I never use the cable that been provided, reason being it's not good quality. I tend to look up cable that I know will support my needs.

This is a reply to everyone. I called lg they said thats just a recommendation to use their cables. I can just press a button to dismiss the message. Since i dont have money for another cable i am just going to use xbox one x hdmi

gold plated hdmi cables are probably a best bet

Hello, I've read your post, and I believe I understand your position. Xbox Ambassadors are here to help.

I myself generally prefer not to use the cables included. Yes they work great, but there are better ones out there. As mentioned by an Xbox Ambassador in a response above, you can choose to get gold ones. Also the longer the cable, the less the quality of
service unless it's gold. Silver and gold are some of the best conductors of current. My preference is a shorter, larger gauged, gold HDMI set of cables. Generally you can find these for around $50 for a 4-footer.
