    Which apps, games, movies use Atmos?


    Is there at Atmos sub-forum on here? I just got a new receiver that does Atmos. I know Netflix does support it on the Xbox One (with only a few titles) but I don't know what else...

    I know that Blade Runner 2049 is on the Dobly Atmos page (you can get it on the UHD) and is on HBONow currently but as far as I can tell the Xbox One HBONow app doesn't even use Atmos? It just says 5.1...

    Microsoft In Talks To Join Movies Anywhere

    I don't trust digital movies. They seem to vanish, and have hardcore DRM. I usually have to use their app, and depending on which company you buy a movie from the site you need an account on or sites for the app are all over the place.

    Hate it. I do have some in digital collection but i never use it really, i think i have it installed on this pc but when i wipe it i doubt i'll dl the app again not sure which one i'm even using as Flickster? i think it was called stopped offering the movie portion.

    I want an MP4 file i can play wherever the fuck i want, no matter the app.

    I don’t know how or why but I went from having a huge collection of physical movies to all digital. I use MS movies app on the Xbox. You can play them on any windows 10 machine. I know that one day they will probably vanish but the convenience of it is just appealing right now. Especially with small kids.

    Dolby Atmos on Xbox One X = issue !

    Because my tv set Samsung is not so new and doesn't decode Dolby Atmos that is the reason for which I bought the XBOX ONE X to install the Netflix app in Xbox and to take out the Dolby Atmos from Xbox in Onkyo amplituner.

    Now, when I open the Netflix app on Xbox I can see which movie has or not the sound in Dolby Atmos. This feature can't see directly on Netflix app on Samsung because tv set Samsung is an old version and doesn't have eARC.

    Now, like I said ALL the GAMES and ALL the movie (Netflix) played on XBOX are in Dolby Atmos , no matter that they are or not in that sound format. THIS IS THE "PROBLEM".

    Atmos MKV Problem

    It seems that the Movie&TV app doesn't have the proper Atmos Decoder for an Atmos audio track muxed into an MKV. So unfortunately, the only way to get Atmos is to use original BluRay discs with an Atmos audio track.

    BUG: With Dolby Atmos activated, all apps used Fallback to PCM 2.0

    I can confirm this bug with the Dolby Atmos app.

    My setup: Denon X4200W receiver with Xbox One S.

    Atmos works fine in the Dolby Atmos app, Blu-Ray and Netflix (the movie Okja is the only Atmos movie on Netflix). All other Netflix videos and Xbox apps default back to 2.0 down mix as posted above.

    Xbox One, Dolby Atmos - 3 months since it worked correctly

    Dolby Atmos will get static during movies on Netflix, some Dolby Atmos movies on Netflix will not play most of the time. Atmos stays on, but when errors occur resetting the Dolby Access app doesn't help at all. I have also noticed the static sound with
    all bitstream audio, while playing a movies, music or games, and sometimes even in the Xbox One S menus.

    Dolby Atmos broke after Dec 7 system update

    Well, this morning I popped in a UHD movie with dolby atmos. For some reason, that kicked atmos into gear and it is now working for all apps, games, and movies that support it. If it happens again, I guess I'll just pop in a UHD movie and jumpstart it.
    I don't understand why this happened and why a disc with atmos got it to work again. Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated.
