Where's the update?

I got mine today. I'm in Australia. I know a few in America that got theirs as well. Was playing with them just now.

 

mine downloaded last night while i was sleeping. i knew it cause i woke up and my powerbar had the orange LED instread of white. i turned it on and it loaded up in about 2 mins to finish the install and voila i was done! love teh new update system

 

If I haven't gotten the update yet and I'm playing tonight, will my system kick me and start the download or will it wait until i shut it down?

Question? I leave my One in power saver mode most of the time. Do I get the update shown when I turn it on, or do I have to change it to "quick launch" and check the "automatically dl updates" checkbox, then turn it off and wait for the light to change first?

I've just read some conflicting info on a few different threads.

 

im trying to force mine to update instant on and auto update is on but I waited like 30 mins but no go

 

I'm not sure xenomorph. I have mine set to instant on mode with auto update on. When I got home this morning the light on my power brick was orange. When I turned it on the upgrade bar just came straight up. Sorry I can't help you anymore than that my friend.

Just got the update after turning it off and forgetting about it. Does anybody notice the difference in the controller update while playing Ghosts or anything?

 

I do not have the update as well. My system has been set to "instant on" since I first used. I also have updates to download automatically checked. There is also an update for the controller? Iv read you need to plug into USB port. I did not receive
any cable for my controller when I purchased X1 nor do I see it listed in the manual....

 

@UCYIBFLYN Any micro usb cable will work. if you have a smart phone you can use that or if you happen to have the play and charge kit that can be used. If not, a micro usb cable can be picked up relatively cheap.

 

Just turned my console on, update started DL'ing straight away.

 

Ok... Just an update from my earlier post.

I went home in my lunch break to try the update. I switched from power saver to instant on, and checked the automatically dl updates checkbox, and turned it off.

2 minutes later I noticed the light flashing on my router indicating it was downloading something. 5 minutes later or so, the flashing stopped so I checked the light... Still white. I waited a few more minutes, checked again, light is now orange... Good
to go.

I turn on Xbox, and whattaya know, green bar... Not even 5 minutes later, all done. Updated.

I checked the settings, and there was a controller update available, but I didn't do it straight away, as it said to connect any headset for the update as well. Now I guess I could do the update without plugging in a headset, but as I'm not really going
to be using it until Titanfall, I'll wait to get the headset adapter before going any further.

I may be being a tad over cautious, but hey, as I said, not using it until Titanfall so I'll just wait.
