Wheres the UPDATE then? its midday.

Take your time Microsoft? You havin a tin bath! Some serious issues with people, you buy an half baked product then say take your time! Multi billion pound company should get it right first time, and why say 11th of feb if he don't like giving dates, but
then go on to say end of week? And what's all this rubbish majornelson keeps on spilling out on twitter about how the 360 took time to mature! Does this mean i have bought the one 5 years to early?

 

lol if MS take any more time,Its all about storage access with this 1st update, sod the battery indicator,just because there is a beta on,there is no excuses,already MS are taken the mic,by giving false hope.Screwin about whats going on with MGS 5 on xb1,but

Well from my understanding, they said later in the week for the update, and where I live a week is 7 days starting on Sunday, so we can actually be waiting till Sunday, but I bet it will be sometime Saturday cause this update is to be for the Tintanfall
beta. Also I'm guessing this update will also improve the controller.

 

This is why big corporations don't like to put exact dates on everything.....you get a bunch of people all over the world sitting at their console waiting breathlessly for "it" (all the while whining like mules until it ever arrives)....I think they should
just release stuff without any press releases and just surprise us. Then after the fact they can release the details....

 

See, the fact they are taking extra time before they roll it out assures me that it wont be broken when they roll it out

 

It is suppose to be sometime this week they are tweeking it before roll out.

 

I want them to make sure the update is fine before release, they are probably making sure all the servers around the world are ready and can take any load issues.

 

patience young padawans. i'm sure they regret saying February 11th but at least they're not just rushing these things.

Crap like that being touted as an update highlight just tells you how pathetically far behind they are on the software development side. "It only took us 8 years but we started working on the OS when Windows 8 was released."

 

Although I would certainly prefer that they take their time to get it right, it's no less disappointing to have to wait longer than I already thought I had to.

 

@ir0nsoldat - the update is not just for storage management and a battery indicator, it is also important updates for the os and some fixes, and they only started working on it probably after windows 8 released, they most likely had different versions and
then selected one to use.

 

To be fair it's not just battery indicator and storage management coming in the update, there's a lot of features being added that they haven't even revealed yet, not to mention a lot of behind the scenes updates as well for the game and app devs and the
controller is getting an update as well, not to mention adding the keyboard functionality as well.

While I am absolutely hanging for the update, I certainly hope they iron out any bugs that may be a side affect of putting it into service. Microsoft already have enough bad press at the moment over the state of the X1. They certainly don't need any more.
And not to bash at all but from what I've read, sony is having troubles with there last patch causing a few is problems to crop up. Certainly wouldn't want that happening here.
