And @Rubix you have no idea about how amazing the Kinect 2.0 truly is. Where do you get your experience with it? Play it kn a kiosk at Wal-Mart? Or at a friends house? Theeenis so much the the Xbox One experience. Playing a game with a friend tell your
Xbox to snap Skype and enjoy a video call with them, stuck somewhere in a game? Telk your Xbox to snap YouTube and get a game walkthrough. In game, something epic happens then you say "Record that". Then later in Upload Video create a montage to your awesome
moments with video commentary. Those are just a small portion of what the Kinect 2.0 is capable of. Anyone who does not own an Xbox One and has done these things has no clue and therefore is ignorant on the subject.

    :)

  2. 3 Free with Kinect Where's THe love

I was an early adopter for the Kinect and now I see they are offering 3 free games with this year's bundle. Where's the love for those of us who bought in early who supported early, who helped make Kinect "THE" #1 game accessory in the US, where's our promotional
    offers?

Sword Style is a bully - don't worry about him.

He can't have a conversation with someone without putting down someone else. Whether or not the person is wrong or misinformed....I've never known anyone to be such a blatant <enter word here> towards others during any conversation.

It's how he gets his kicks....then the others around here suck up to him non stop....he loves it.

It really seems impossible for him to have a conversation with someone without being a complete <enter word here> and being disrespectful just for the sake of EVERYONE seeing that he's in the right.

This must be the only place where he is right...to want that much attention from it.

LOL Look at that light novel! Is that all for little ole me? If there's one thing we can all take from that, it's you think about me. A lot, apparently. Maybe try making some friends?

BTW, well said @Fyrbreak. And you are spot on in your most recent post. PS3 was slightly more powerful, but 360 was better and far more convenient. And people are just being hypocritical

omg....for the love of god....well, I wouldN'T have guessed a generic reply to that, Sword Style.

Yes, just b/c I've known you through these forums for years and know how you are must mean that I think about you constantly.

Honestly...I expected a better less generic reply to the truth other than "OMG I MUST REALLY BE ON YOUR MIND B/C YOU KNOW ME, LOLBBQ!!!"

Edit: And I've written more about lesser things and ppl. If you want to boost yourself up thinking thats a light novel....then go ahead....but you and I both know that isn't the case. I'm sure the 12 year olds that you impress will get a kick out of your
    pov.

I've got to agree you guys are ignorant for hating the Kinect. Seeing a buddy repeat himself one time when it was loud in the room doesn't justify calling it inaccurate and a bad investment. I got mine Day One and I love it and everything I've done with
it. I don't feel there are really any lame games out on this next gen yet either. We have a multitude of triple a titles out with great stories and amazing gameplay.

Getting back to what this thread is actually about though, I'm slightly torn. I'm super happy with everything I've gotten so far. I feel that 500$ in November was amazingly well spent. I kinda figured Microsoft would give out cool deals and incentives as
time went on to increase sales, but I still wanted it when I got it. If I could go back I wouldn't change anything at all.

On the other hand though I just feel greedy asking for a 75$ card for the store, I've been here longer, yeah, but that doesn't really account for much. Oh well, guess I'll just stick to loving my amazing console that is filled with great games and amazing
    features.

I've actually found a lot more value in kinect then I ever expected. I personally have always thought it was a gimmick with a few games that actually use it well: Dance Central, Wreckateer etc.

I get being bummed that people are getting a cheaper console now but that's how these things work (though it does seem faster than normal). I personally like having the thing day one and to me that is worth the $75 for having it for what like 8 months now?

Xbox'ers on the 360 believe me, I was a skeptic when it came to the Kinect 2.0. I own the original Kinect and hardly used it. I highly recommend the Xbox with Kinect. Phil Spencer is not lying when he says the true Xbox One experience is with Kinect.
You wouldn't believe how fluid everything is. We as an Xbox community must stick together. No need to be arguing

Exactly. Why is it that some people just refuse to assign any tangible value to their gaming time? And yet, these same people will start or come into threads like this and complain
about how much they paid vs how much it costs now for a system. It's utter nonsense. If their gaming time has that little value to them, why bother getting a console at all?

I'm a working adult with a wife, 2 dogs and health issues. The time I have to game is very valuable to me... in fact, I'd go so far as to call it precious in some aspects. I get
a lot of enjoyment from it. Just because it's 'spare time' doesn't mean it has less value to me than any other time I have.

I got my X1 in December (5th if memory serves). Waited for a Christmas discount from the retailer I work for. Even if I hadn't gotten the discount, I would have bought it... in
fact, if I hadn't been waiting for the discount, I'd have gotten it sooner.

Breaking that down into some simple math, I've had my console for 8 months and going with an avg 30 day month, that's 240 days. I've played pretty much every one of them. So, adding
the $100 price drop to the $75 incentive... I could have saved... a whopping $0.73/day if I'd just waited until now to buy.

In closing I'd just like to say that I do not feel cheated.

I'm not gonna lie, I could've definitely waited and bought the X1. My ideal time would've been the Titanfall bundle that was like $450. I could do without Kinect, but I'm glad I have it. I don't regret buying the X1 when I did because at least I know I was
a part of why the system is succeeding today.

  14. @NxtDoc1851 - Thankyou for teaching me about the word ignorant, I was completely unaware. Also, thankyou for your wonderful help with letting everyone know that the PS4 has no exclusives and the 360 was better. You could help even more by sending messages
that contain actual substance. I think these "Visions" you're having are based off bitterness.

It saddens me to see where we are at in 2014, these one sided bursts of fiction vs fact are repelling to a gamer.

"X1 does everything PS4 does (And more) so how is PS4 "true next gen" exactly? Oh right, it has a bit more power. Wait, but the PS3 had more power than the 360 right? And you still tout the 360 as an amazing device? I don't get it".

The Xbox 360 was the superior console due to the fact it was the leading console through most of the generation and ended up getting the special love from software developers when it came to multi platform games. And the PS3 was deprioritised regardless
of its superior power. Sales make all the difference. That is a common fact.

Examples include GTA IV on Xbox 360 getting DLC much earlier. Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion turned out worse on PS3 and did not even get a good chunk of the DLC. Half Life: Orange Box turned out absolutely awful on PS3. Fallout 3 GOTY Edition on PS3 was virtually
unplayable. Both Fallout 3 and New Vegas turned out worse on PS3 and got DLC much later than the 360 version.

Skyrim was another horrible example on PS3 with constant game destroying lag times that Bethesda did very little to address but were very keen to shower the 360 version with game fixes and gave DLC to it much earlier than the PS3 version.

The PS3s superior technology meant nothing because developers were simply not motivated due to the Xbox 360 being more profitable. That is why the Xbox 360 was the console of choice and why I am glad I never bothered with the PS3.

Now the tide has completely turned this generation. With the Playstation 4 leading by a very very long margain, developers are going to simply follow the money. This is why games like Tomb Raider, Watchdogs and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5 and Destiny
are getting better treatment on the PS4. And this is only going to continue further and further into the generation as the sale gap widens.
