Where's the games?

[/quote]"More of the same" I think is a better term to use then "weaker" IMO. In many cases, that's what helps those games sell. If the games were too different from their predecessors or on other consoles, it could hurt sales. Have you seen how many people
complain if something they like gets changed? I guarantee you, there are more people that would complain about that than those that would complain if it's "more of the same."

 

Now I have both consoles I have to say there are plenty of games to play on each but nothing screaming next gen yet. Sure we have some pretty graphics but the gameplay is not any different.

In saying that I'm still enjoying forza and bf4.

[/quote]I can agree with this. Give it time, the games will get better. You can't expect everything to work instantly like magic.

 

It might not be officially called an "arcade" game but that's what they are, a little cheap game, none of the games out right one interest me too much and I enjoy stupid little games like happy wars and crap like that, just want those to keep me entertained
till something comes out that. I can really sink me teeth into

 

Sorry Vin I have to disagree with you on the games. Ryse, Dead Rising 3, and Forza 5 are amazing. If nothing that interested you game wise at launch then why did you buy one at launch.

 

I have all those games also. I will rephrase. If Xboxone has no games and they are ports. Then why are the games so fun? Ps4 u think Knack is fun? U think Killzone is fun? Deadrising 3 is fun and coop is fun. Forza is very fun, Ryse is very fun short but
Coop is fun. Killer instinct3 is fun. I own all xboxone games besides sports like I said. I went on the Ps4 forum guess what I saw posts of I think I made the wrong decision on getting the Ps4. Their are tons of people begging for our games. And many people
are beyond bored. Ps4 forum type in google register and read for yourself. After e32014 im getting more xboxone games and hopefully wii u X and mario kart 8 and SSB come out. I also love Nintendo by the way.

 

I think Microsoft is right to not refer to them as Arcade games anymore. As they put it, "games are games are games." Arcades are (for the most part) long dead anyways, so just be glad that we will still be getting a good variety of games that are priced
differently than the usual $60 & get what you want.

Despite MS wanting to do away with the "arcade" name, we realistically need a way to distinguish these games from actual AAA titles. As much as Peggle 2 is probably great, it's quite obvious that it's not the same type of game than fe. Ryse or Forza.

And I'm pretty sure everyone realizes this just fine, the price points already give a hint about this, but I don't think MS will manage to fade away all other names than "games" from this type of games. I still refer to them often as either arcade or indie
games, although indie game isnt necessary always the case, but it still does a great job giving out a lot about the nature of the game in just one word in most peoples' heads.

I agree with MS, I don't see any need to distinguish the games by anything more than genre.

I have more hours in and enjoyed Peggle 2 far more than I did Ryse. The "arcade" or ""AAA" label don't do anything to distinguish quality, game length or type of game so for the most part it's irrelevant.
