Where is the Ultra Edition?

That is just... A huge slap to the face, seriously if that is true... I'm going to return my XboxOne.

Greatswords? Well, there's the Zweihander, which is an ultra greatsword.
Here's a list of them, though. Go into the Straight Sword section and down where it says Large and Ultra Large are the ones you might be interested in.

Well, semi-false alarm. It actually completely hooks into the UK marketplace when you do that. I guess you could maybe add a credit card and purchase the UK version, and I assume it will hook into your account, but it's not the most "official" nor elegant
solution.

I'm gonna write an article about all this for DarkZero tomorrow. It's just kind of a bummer.

 

I checked out the UK marketplace too, but it doesn't allow me to buy the game through the funds that I've added to my XBL account. From what I've understood, you'll also need an UK credit card for it to work? Which of course isn't a an option for most of
us.

In any case, this is a serious screw up on their part and there's absolutely no reason for them to first make us wait almost a year and then not give us all the content. SOMEONE at Microsoft needs to hear this and DO something to it. This is unacceptable.

 

And there are more games missing, like Super Time Force (which is free with Gold now) and Contrast.

Even DLC for Call of Duty Ghosts isn't available: I had the 360 version with the season pass, so I can download the season pass content on Xbox One for free. I had to change my region to even download the content I own. It's ridiculous. The marketplace isn't
exactly filled with content in other regions, but our marketplace is a barren wasteland.

 

This is great stuff. Keep the testimonies coming. I'm writing an article about this and the launch in general as we speak, and I want as many instances of this as possible.

Please provide your region, too, if you're comfortable doing so.

 

SimonM7: Good thing, neighbour! This stuff needs to be spread so that we will get our Ultra Edition and the other missing content.

Also, where's the official response? "That content is not available in your region" isn't exactly telling us whether we will be getting it eventually or not. I'm not spending a cent on the lesser Combo Breaker pack. Man, this is frustrating.

 

@Forsynthia: Can you elaborate on the content for Ghosts that was unavailable. All of it? Certain maps? Also, what region are you in - if you're okay with giving out that information? Fact-checking here so I don't make false claims.

Great article man! I really have to wonder why they did all this. I mean, wouldn't it make more sense for them to do it the other way around and make the more expensive option our only one? At least that way they could get more money out of people, especially
for their own game.

Also, the add-on requires absolutely no localization effort whatsoever. All they had to do was list a price and put it up there. I just have to wonder what kind of hurdles they would have had in their way to come to this conclusion? PEGI has already rated
the KI Classic so that should be no problem. The only reason I can think of is that someone did a sloppy job and forgot to add most of our content. Or they just thought it'd be so much fun to screw us over.

BTW, I love the free version of the game. Wish I could just play other characters than Jago, but I'm not flushing down 20 euros down the toilet if we still have the potential chance of getting that Ultra edition.

 

Excellent points throughout. And yeah, totally. It feels like they just forgot. First of all, I bet we'll never find out why it's missing, and second, I doubt they'll bother to mention whether or not we're getting it at all.

I'm reaching out to Microsoft through the site I write for, and hopefully that'll result in some answers. Lord knows support is *utterly useless* at anything but coming up with new ways to phrase "some content is unavailable in some regions". I swear it's
like running up to a fireman with your hair on fire and all he does is tell you your hair is on fire.

 

Nice article! It really makes no sense for all that content not to be available, but yet it's missing. At least you can easily buy from other stores.
