Where is the promised performance update for Titanfall?

Some of you may or may not have heard this but the game launched at 792p and Respawn promised an update would come out shortly after to increase resolution. Months later, nothing.

The said they would improve it to 900p or 1080p with no AA and while that would be good I would much prefer they sort of the damn screen tear and framerate. I can honestly say that was the gamebreaker for me and I have not touched the game since. Just made
it unplayable.

What's going on? They can release pointless DLC and fix game bugs, what about fixing the unplayable screen tear!

60fps, zero screen tear and just keep the current 792p? It would at least make me play it more.

It's coming on 29august with the definitive edition features free to all existing players including HDR

If you have unplayable screen tear you need a new television.

Great game.

The game is nowhere near "unplayable"

 

I've had very little screen tear on this game and when I did notice, it was mostly on a certain map ( can't remember name of it, one where your outside, caves, huts etc )

I agree with the above though, for me anyway this game is nowhere near unplayable, like I said I had very little screen tear, other than that it was absolutely fine.

I have seen others report screen tear though so like Az mentioned, I wonder if it could be to do with what TVs people are using, not meaning there's a problem, maybe something to do with the settings?

I remember reading Respawn saying there was a upgrade coming, to be honest I haven't played this in a while, I thought it was already out before/with the latest DLC.

 

I think they used words like "hoped" and "likely" when talking about the resolution increase

If you read the top article mate it still says they are likely, just the headline wouldn't be as good if they said that!

 

Well after so long it's a certainty there will be no performance update since they are already planning a sequel for e3 [rumour].

Shame, because underneath is a decent game and I would be happy with the current low res as slong as the framerate was smooth without the very distracting tearing.

As much as I enjoyed Titanfall I hope there's not already news at E3 of a sequel. I don't doubt another one is in the works but thought/hoped it would be a while yet before news on a new one.

 

Viral I have seen a bit but nothing serious, same as most of the reviews said, certainly not the over dramatic cry of "unplayable" OP just relishes in being negative about most things One connected.

 

Mr Troll has a resolution and framerate fetish. Shame he never slams the PS4 when a game is sub 1080p/60fps.

Seriously OP, get over it. Titanfall is brilliant and tons of fun.

I havn't noticed any screen tear or framerate issues in ages.

Play the game. Don't count the pixels.
