Where is the Games For Gold or atleast a $ale for the Xbox One family already

It is my understanding that you can only get free games on the Playstation Network through Playstation+, which is admittedly now required, but if you ever stopped paying for that subscription, you automatically lose access to your free games. With Micrososft's
Free Games with Gold, you can keep & continue to play your games long after your Gold account expires. Basically, you're renting from PSN, but buying from XBL.

Yes you still need to be a PS+ member to gain access to the games via PS+, as for games for gold I agree they are waiting to build a bigger library, as for games for gold on 360, most of the games offered I'm sure a majority of people played or purchased.

That's the difference I see between PS+ and Games for Gold, one you own, one is your renting for as long as your a member, in regards to games itself PS+ offers better games (subjective) or at least more current games is a better way to put it.

 

They just too ignorant too admit they are wrong and don't get free games from sony!!!!

Very weird how this has turned into a debate about PS+ vs. GWG. Spark hit the nail on the head with his statement though. PS offers a rental service as compared to xbox. And I am no financial expert by any means but, it would appear to me(And I may be wrong)
but Sony paying developers to have their games featured on PS+ isnt whats best for business for some of the smaller developers.

 

The thing is everyone is :"beating" their chest too soon the consoles have been out for a few months and honestly does it really factor in your decision to buy a console based on who is 1st or 2nd...sony has been doing it longer you would think they would
be #1 always.... its remarkable that MS came out of nowhere and made them selves relevant against nintendo and sony when everyone thought the xbox would fail and be discontinue after a couple of years lmao. ...now look.

The Gold and Plus accounts are basically requirement now so owning or renting is somewhat irrelevant. The only time either of my "premium" accounts have lapsed is when I've headed back over to the PC for an extended period of time ( normally a MMO release ).
If I'm not using the console I won't miss the games rented or owned.

[/quote]I wouldn't say necessarily irrelevant because there are always people who always want to go back to their games and play them again, or finish them up. You are also assuming in your statement (unless I understood it wrong) that you won't be coming
back to your console. What if you come back say a year or so and want to play those games again? Will you have to buy them again? Or can you go into your download history and redownload the game, or are you stuck?

The sad part is there aren't even any Sony trolls in this thread.

Many of these wars are occurring within our own community simply because we have people that feel the need to post things that are inaccurate either out of ignorance or to get the result we've seen in this thread. Everyone makes mistakes but when you have the
same people posting the same inaccurate gibberish over and over everyone should be calling them out.

The community should be policing themselves rather than simply letting all this garbage slide.
