    I have the xbox one S model. According to your latest opdate here:

    There should be a Blue-Ray app included in the update. I have checked that i got the new update installed in settings, but i still can only choose from dolby digital 5.1 or dts 5.1 under bitstream in settings. So where is that Blue-Ray app?

    I looked in store, and there was nothing but the already downloaded player Blu-Ray player, which i also updated, but that didnt change anything. So what do i need to do to get Dolby Atmos sound from my Blu-ray movie discs???

    Media Remote for Xbox One

    Oh, one more thing. There is not menu command for DVD/BluRay. So keep your other remotes handy for that. Otherwise it does great with the BluRay player. Even remembers where you left off on a DVD after turning the Xbox console off. Resumes exactly where
    you left off.

    Blu ray player app doesn't play regular DVD?

    I popped in a Netflix DVD (not a BluRay) yesterday, the BluRay app popped up, I installed it. Now, it goes to the main screen where it says BluRay, a 'loading circle' is below it, then the audio plays from the DVD, but no video.

    Xbox Wire     article regarding Dolby Atmos, that feature will be rolling out sometime next year. Additionally, when looking at the

    Xbox One Operating System     updates page on Xbox Support, there is no mention of the Dolby Atmos/Blu-Ray updated listed.

    We are unable to speculate as to when that feature will be available. Your best bet will be to keep an eye on the Wire page linked above for news and information regarding console updates.

    Blu-Ray Error Code 0002 "Needs Update"

    Are you connected to the internet? When you start the bluray app, if you are connected to the internet and signed in to Live), it should tell you an app update is available. I got a bray app update this morning when I tried a bluray.

    If that doesn't prompt you to update, then I'd uninstall the bluray app, reboot the machine and then install the bluray app again.

    Xbox One S Blu Ray Player Issues

    Every bluray I have (one 4k UHD Bluray and dozens of regular bluray titles) does not work with the Xbox One S I have. They work just fine in my other Xbox One (regular 500gb, not S or elite XBO, and obviously not the 4k UHD bluray) but every time I get an
    HDCP error for 5 minutes flipping between the error screen and bluray app frozen, then it just tells me it cannot read the disc. Apparently the Xbox One S needs a different bluray app than the regular Xbox One bluray app. Maybe if the community was allowed
    to make a bluray app for the Xbox One S it could save Microsoft some face since I have more faith in the community at fixing a problem via their own bluray app than Microsoft fixing it.

    To solve this issue you should delete the BluRay-Player App, Hard-shut-down the xbox, reinstall the BluRay-Player App, you are done.
