    I had a promotion on my Xbox dashboard a couple days ago and now I can't find it it was 1 year of Xbox live gold for $20 off of usual price

    Not likely, the newsletter E-Mail where I learned of this promotion was recieved on the 7/12/2012, so this is a new promotion. No where, even in fine print, does it mention a end date for this promotion.

    Where is my promotion

    Dashboard promotions are shown at random. The ads usually refresh each time you turn on the console so you may not always see the same promotions again. There is no way to force a promotion to show up again. All you can do is keep an eye on the dashboard
    to see if it shows up again.

    It can take up to 2 weeks to receive the V-bucks. That's if you're eligible for the promotion, It's for new accounts with no history of live or ones with no history live from a certain date. I would check the fine print to make sure you're indeed eligible
